Introduction

Shree Manichood Basic School, located in Shankharapur Nagar Palika – 8, Bhulbu, Nepal, serves as a beacon of hope for children in one of the most remote and underprivileged areas of the country. Despite its critical role in providing education, the school faces significant challenges due to inadequate infrastructure, including insufficient classrooms, lack of proper toilet facilities, and limited resources for learning.

The Serap Lee Foundation has been actively engaged with Shree Manichood Basic School since January 21st, 2018, when a delegation led by Mr. Serap Jangbu Sherpa and Mr. Le Se Jung visited the school. During this visit, the foundation initiated an In-Kind-Gift and Cultural Exchange Program, distributing essential school supplies, stationery, clothing, and other necessary items. Additionally, a cultural exchange program was conducted to foster mutual understanding and highlight the importance of education.

Building on this foundation, the Serap Lee Foundation now aims to take its support to the next level by addressing the school’s critical infrastructure needs. This project seeks to transform Shree Manichood Basic School into a safe, functional, and inspiring learning environment for its students.
