Serap Jangbu Sherpa, the visionary founder and chairman of the Serap Leep Foundation, in collaboration with the Korean Teacher Education Workers Union Chungnum Team, generously donated essential supplies—including stationery, clothing, school boards, and shoes—to the students of Shree Bhumayadevi Madhyamik School. The school is located in Uttar Gaya Gaupalika-3, Thulo Gau, Rasuwa, a region where access to educational resources is often limited.

In addition to the donations, the team went above and beyond by providing lunch and dinner for two days, not only for the schoolchildren but also for their parents and the entire community. This gesture of kindness fostered a sense of unity and gratitude, bringing the community together in celebration of education and generosity.

The visit held a deeper purpose as well. For years, the students of Shree Bhumayadevi Madhyamik School had been studying under a tin roof, facing challenges posed by inadequate infrastructure. The primary objective of the donor team’s visit was to inspect the progress of the school building construction, for which the Serap Leep Foundation had previously provided funding. This new building promises to transform the learning environment, offering students a safe and conducive space to pursue their education.

The donor team’s visit took place from January 6th to January 8th, 2017, during which they engaged with the students, teachers, and community members, witnessing firsthand the impact of their contributions. Their dedication to improving educational opportunities and living conditions in rural Nepal reflects a profound commitment to empowering communities and nurturing future generations.
